Blanket Saves the Day

Josie loves her comfort blanket. It can be anything she wants it to be, from a dinosaur to a canoe to a pond to fish in, and she brings it with her everywhere. But when her grandma comes to stay, she notices it’s looking a little dirty and threadbare, so she decides to give it a good clean and patch it up.

When Josie sees her blanket again, she doesn’t even recognize it. Its colour is faded, it has shrunken in the wash, and it doesn’t feel the same at all. Distressed, she decides the imposter has to go, and she throws it away on a walk with Grandma. Sure, life might be a little more dull, but she’ll be fine without it. At least until the next day, when Josie gets lost on a short errand. In her panic, she isn’t sure where to turn. Right when she needs it, she finds her blanket again, proving though it might look different, it’s the same old trusty blanket after all.
